To all China Travelers on November 3, 2008
I have just been informed that United Airlines has put on a fuel surcharge of $50.00 each. You will be flying United Airlines to Beijing. I apologize to those of you who got the first letter by email. The air ticket price was wrong.
Since you will not be going until November 3, there is a chance that you may get another fuel surcharge if fuel keeps going up in price. In order for you to lock in your air price, you need to go ahead and buy your air ticket now. The airfare was $1,150.00. With the $50.00 surcharge it is now $1,200.00.
You may use the attached credit card form or send a check for the amount to Friends & Family Tours, P.O. Box 1421, Gallatin, TN 37066. Each time you use your credit card to make a payment you must sign a new form and put the amount to be charged on it. This is for your protection.
Your U.S. Passport must be good for eight months after you return from your China tour. That means it should not expire until after July 15, 2009. You should have received your renewal or your new passport by now. Please make a copy of the page that has your picture on it and send to me if you have not already done so.
I regret that we have received a fuel surcharge, but there is nothing anyone can do. With the world situation as it is I was expecting it.
This will be one of your most memorable trips!
